Pheasant Bird’s-Eye Recap

Welcome to the August 2025 edition of “Pheasant Bird’s-Eye Recap.” In this series, we reflect on our progress over the past month, highlighting key figures and metrics. From recent deployments and network usage statistics to trends in the Layer 2 scene, our monthly reports cover all notable events, ensuring you’re up-to-date with the latest advancements and prepared for upcoming developments.

Monthly Overview

August was a month of building momentum on top of earlier work. We launched the first set of quests on our own platform, which had gone live just last month. This gave us a chance to test the waters and gauge community sentiment directly through hands-on participation.

On the integration front, we welcomed Unichain to the Pheasant Network mainnet. After its testnet debut last October, Unichain is now the first network integration in several months, supporting both ETH and USDC bridging and swapping. Built by one of the industry’s prominent projects, this addition strengthens our ecosystem with a network that has already proven its value.

August’s Key Focus

Pheasant Quest Kick-Start

Following July’s launch of our in-house quest platform for the Pheasant Points program, August marked its first real use. We rolled out three quests that attracted both newcomers and long-time supporters, offering a direct way to engage with the ecosystem while collecting prizes. It’s still early days, but the foundation is set: the platform will keep expanding with new formats, including recurring weekly and monthly quests to keep participation steady and varied.

Unichain Mainnet Integration

August also brought our first mainnet integration in several months with the addition of Unichain, a Layer 2 network built on Optimism’s OP Stack by Uniswap Labs. Unichain now ranks third in monthly bridge value within our ecosystem.

As the 10th member of our mainnet family, Unichain supports ETH and USDC bridging and swapping through Pheasant. Like other networks, USDC transfers benefit from a dual system that leverages both Pheasant Protocol and CCTP, offering users greater efficiency depending on the transfer size.

To mark the launch, we ran a dedicated campaign on the quest platform, where participants could collect Pheasant Points for engaging with the new network.

Referral Program in Development

To support organic growth, we began developing a referral program tied to Pheasant Points. The design is simple: existing users can invite friends and receive 10% of their invitees’ points on an ongoing basis. This approach encourages genuine word-of-mouth expansion while giving both inviter and invitee a clear stake in the ecosystem.

Other Development Updates

Our latest progress includes the following:

  • Improved stability and UX updates
  • Developed leaderboard's UI for Pheasant Points
  • Designing the corporate website

Product Metrics

  • Number of Monthly Transactions: 2,135
  • Value of Monthly Transactions: $1,710,184
  • Community Member Count (across X, Discord, and Galxe combined): 153,299

CEO’s Comment

Adding Unichain to the mainnet this month was a welcome change of pace. Much of our recent focus has been on building around the Points Program—an important driver of growth—but network integrations have always been at the heart of what Pheasant is about. Seeing a new chain go live reminded me why we started building in the first place, and that’s a feeling I intend to hold on to. This integration also opens the door to future collaboration, giving us opportunities to contribute more directly to the wider Ethereum ecosystem.

I’m equally encouraged by the early results of the quest platform. The response last month showed clear enthusiasm from the community, and I’m grateful for that level of engagement. It motivates me to push harder on bringing in new quest formats, ideally in partnership with more of our ecosystem peers, so the experience continues to grow stronger.
