While we’re very proud of this accomplishment, today is not just about celebrating our past—it’s about looking forward. With this milestone, we’re excited to announce that Pheasant Network is entering a new phase.

We’re evolving from merely offering optimistic bridges to becoming a comprehensive interoperability solution for Layer 2 and Layer 3 networks. Token transfers, once the core of our offerings, are now just one element of our expanded suite of services. Pheasant Network now offers a wide array of optimistic interoperability solutions that go well beyond token bridging.

To mark this new chapter, we’re unveiling a homepage—a hub for our new capabilities and future developments. This isn’t just a fresh look; it reflects our growing commitment to interoperability at every level.

Launched in 2022, Pheasant Network began with a focus on building optimistic bridges between Layer 2 networks. Our goal was simple: to leverage optimistic rollup technology to enable faster, more cost-effective cross-network and cross-layer transactions.

Shortly after launch, we received a grant from the Ethereum Foundation’s Ecosystem Support Program (ESP), becoming the only project in the Layer 2 category selected in Q3 2022. This recognition provided both financial backing and confidence to move forward, allowing us to assemble a global team of crypto enthusiasts dedicated to building our core product—optimistic bridges.

In our mission to lower entry barriers, we also launched L2 Learn, a platform designed to educate users about Layer 2 networks. This service has since become a hub for Layer 2 knowledge, offering users SBT-based certificates upon completion of lessons.

In just 1.5 years, Pheasant Network has integrated over 15 networks and grown its community to over 160,000 members. We’ve received several grants from initiatives such as Optimism’s Retro PGF and have attracted over 6,000 contributors through Gitcoin. To date, with nearly 100,000 transactions processed, we’ve surpassed $100 million in transaction volume.

Now, with this $100 million milestone behind us, we’re shifting into high gear. Pheasant Network is no longer just about bridges—we’re becoming a full-fledged optimistic interoperability protocol for Layer 2 and Layer 3 networks.

At the center of this transformation is Bridge-as-a-Service (BaaS). BaaS enables developers to easily integrate our optimistic bridge and cross-network swap functionalities into their applications—without the need for maintaining intricate infrastructure or liquidity sourcing. By abstracting away the complexities of token transfer mechanisms, BaaS allows developers to build native bridges directly into their products with just a few lines of code.

While our original optimistic bridges remain accessible via the canonical site, BaaS expands our reach, enabling faster, low-cost transfers across a broader range of applications. With BaaS, building bridges and enhancing interoperability has never been simpler.
